How to Add a SCORM Course into TalentLMS
TalentLMS supports courses in SCORM 1.2, xAPI, and cmi5 formats. In this article, you will find out how to upload a course to TalentLMS step by step.

Adding a SCORM Course into TalentLMS
To add your SCORM course into TalentLMS, just follow this step-by-step tutorial.
- 1 Only administrators and instructors can add and manage courses. Make sure that you are logged in as an administrator or an instructor.
- 2 If you are an Administrator, select Courses on the main dashboard If you are an Instructor, select Courses on the right panel.
- 3 Add a new course, enter a course name and select Save course and add content to proceed with import.
- 4 Click on +Add and select the SCORM | Tin Can | CMI5 option in the drop-down menu.
- 5 Enter a unit name and click on Upload a SCORM or TinCan ZIP file.
- 6 After a file has been imported, click Save and view to preview the uploaded content item. Note that courses can be set to play in a popup (a new window) or in an iframe (on a page). This can be configured on Add SCORM | TinCan | CMI 5 page. We recommend launching courses in a new browser window (popup).
- 7 Imported files will be seen on the Content page.

How to generate reports in TalentLMS
- 1 Only administrators and instructors can review learners' progress and generate reports. Make sure that you atr logged in as an administrator or an instructor.
- 2 If you are an Administrator, select Reports on the main dashboard If you are an Instructor, select Reports on the right panel.

- 5 Clicking on a SCORM package name, you will see how users are progressing with it.
- 6 To see detailed information about user activity, click on View in the Operations column.
- 7 A popup with a user’s transcript will appear. Note the SCORM 1.2 specification does not allow to journal questions. That is why a question ID replaced the full question text.
- 8 To get an average transcript for a quiz, go to Analysis.
TinCan statements can be transmitted to an external LRS, which you can specify in the account settings: To use the TalentLMS endpoint, please contact the LMS vendor to get all the necessary information and assistance.
