FAQ on the on-premise learning management system
What is the difference between a self-hosted learning management system and a cloud-based solution?
In contrast to hosted LMS solutions, a cloud-based solution operates on the provider’s servers and is accessible over the internet. It simplifies user access, reduces the IT workload, and ensures automatic updates and scalability. Cloud-based LMSs are ideal for organizations with limited technical support. However, you may have less control over customization, data security, and system upgrades.
Is there an extra fee for installing a self-hosted learning management system?
Contact our sales department, and we’ll calculate the cost of LMS installation on your premises.
What are the system requirements for self-hosted LMS installation?
How do you deploy the on-premise version of the LMS?
Next, we prepare the infrastructure as required and deliver all data for verification and subsequent installation. Our IT team provides all distributions and configurations within two business days. Two more days are required to install the software. You will need to provide our software engineer with remote access to the prepared infrastructure to perform the installation.
After that, an iSpring QA engineer will test the installed LMS in your infrastructure to make sure it functions properly and follows all data security protocols. We provide user onboarding and consult your IT team on software maintenance. Once the system is up and running, you, as the customer, will fully control the further operation of iSpring Learn and back up data and content if necessary.
